We are excited to welcome The Abbeyfield Society to the Hares of Hampshire Art Trail as Hare Sponsors!
Established in 1956, The Abbeyfield Society’s Speedwell Court is part of the society’s range of housing for older people providing an exclusive setting and high-quality residential care and dementia friendly care service. Speedwell Court is comitted to promoting health and welbeing for their residents, providing purpose and bringing enjoyment to daily life. Supporting older people to live independently with 24-hour peace of mind that there is always someone there to help.
“As a Southampton based residential care home many of those who live with us have strong local roots to Hampshire & Southampton, we were excited to learn of the support the Murray Parish Trust gives to our local Paediatric Care Unit in Southampton Hospital, needless to say we felt compelled to be involved. We can’t wait to get started on following the design progress and the siting of the Hare, ready for the Trail next year. We believe that this is something Residents, their Families and our Staff team will all want to get behind and join in with.
Art and creativity is at the heart of our social activities at Speedwell Court, with Residents keen to follow the design progress of the Hares we hope to inspire our artist by inviting them here before the design gets underway so we can all get behind this really exciting and inspirational project.”
A not for profit run home the Southampton care home maintains the founding principle of “making time for older people”.
Speedwell Court has established links with external groups and organisations, maintaining a connection with the greater community and working to be part of the local area support network. Offering interest groups and carer support to both by residents, their families and those living in the community.
We can’t wait to see their finished Hare! If you would like to be involved with the Hares of Hampshire Art Trail next year please do get in touch!
