My design is inspired by an old folk song ‘I wish my love was a cherry’. It tells of the desire to keep the person you love near to you at all times and this of course is something you can never really do. Here the lost and beloved child is riding away on the back of this fine hare through the fields and the forests and the days and the nights, her spirit running free forever.
